The Pupil Premium is an additional amount of money given to schools to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers. In addition to this schools receive a Year 7 literacy and numeracy catch-up premium for any student who has not achieved the expected standard in reading and/or maths at Key Stage 2.
