Welcome to the Geography Department. We aim to investigate and answer questions about the natural and human worlds, using enquiry techniques to view them from different perspectives. This aims to develop knowledge of places and environments throughout the world. We use enquiry based lessons that enhance problem solving skills, both inside and outside the classroom, thereby preparing pupils for the world of work. Geography explores the issues of development, sustainability and resources; we also look at use of different environments. The geography of different societies and cultures is investigated to help pupils realise how nations rely on each other. We hope to inspire pupils to think about their own place in the world, their values and their rights and responsibilities towards other people in the environment.
We are located in two teaching rooms as part of the suite of Humanities classrooms on the M3 corridor in the main school building.
Please email Mrs Pawlaczek on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any enquires regarding Geography.
