Media texts form an important part of most peoples' cultural experience. During the study of GCSE Media Studies, we aim to develop students’ understanding of how media texts can reflect society and culture.
GCSE Media Studies is offered by the awarding body Eduqas.
Students at Key Stage 4 have already had a vast amount of exposure to media both at home and in the classroom. The Media Studies GCSE course aims to encourage students to become active, critical audiences. Students will be encouraged to broaden their study into an exploration of the place media occupies in today’s global society, the communication of ideas, attitudes and cultural beliefs.
