Alongside the major work of the Page to Stage project, we also undertake a series of activities designed to smooth student transition between primary and secondary schools and share our specialist practices with the whole learning community.  

We make efforts to keep these projects relevant to each new year and to the needs and situations of our partner schools, but previous work has modeled great success which we will be building on in 2009 and beyond.  Delivered mainly in the later stages of Year 6 our work to date has included:

• Working with several primary schools to produce sequences for the annual Friern Barnet Dance Festival
• A drama project pairing students and staff from FBS with those of a local special school to produce a short performance film
• A project creating original pieces of music for ensemble performance by primary school students
• Taster days for Year 5 students who visit the school and receive a day of fun lessons from our staff using all our dedicated resources
• An extended programme of Saturday and Holiday arts opportunities which have proved especially popular with students from local primary schools.
