Our aim is to ensure that pupils enjoy learning a language at Friern Barnet School, by using a variety of activities and skills during lessons.  We are keen to ensure that pupils understand the importance of learning a language and that a language is an additional useful skill in the working world.  Pupils study French or Spanish at KS3 and many students chose to continue with the language to GCSE.

All staff in the department are enthusiastic, committed linguists, reflected in the excellent results and progress made by pupils at both KS3 and KS4.
